Royal Mughal Court Oil Painting

This custom Rajasthani oil painting narrates a scene of luxury and festivities from the Mughal period. Dancing and music were the prominent forms of entertainment in that era and were exclusive to noble families. An affluent man can be seen here enjoying hookah while the lady performs a beautiful dance in the court featuring a pair of musicians as well.
